Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of gitmd2pdf ("the Service"), operated by Mods Software, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 3257262) ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

gitmd2pdf is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that converts Markdown files, individually uploaded or all those in an entire Git repository, into professionally formatted PDF documents.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

• Free Trial: 14-day trial with up to 6 Markdown file conversions and 3 Git repository conversions per calendar month. No payment required.
• Pro Plan: Up to 300 Markdown file conversions and 50 Git repository conversions per calendar month, with priority support.
• Premium Plan: All Pro features plus unlimited conversions by default (subject to fair-use review), API access, and custom layout options.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods, but you will retain access until the end of your billing period.

Fair use and limit changes. The monthly conversion limits above are intended for typical personal and business use. We reserve the right to modify the conversion limits, fair-use thresholds, and pricing of any plan at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service before they take effect, and your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new limits. If a change is unacceptable to you, you may cancel before the effective date and retain access until the end of your billing period (no partial refunds, per the paragraph above).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload or convert content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers.
• Use automated systems to access the Service beyond API rate limits.
• Share API credentials or allow unauthorised third-party access.

6. Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of content you upload or convert.
• We retain ownership of the Service, including software, design, and trademarks.
• You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
